US Stock Futures Slip; All Eyes On Jobs Report

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. Data on nonfarm payrolls for May will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while consumer credit data for April will be released at 3:00 p.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 54 points to 17,871.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 6.35 points to 2,092.65. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index dropped 13.70 points to 4,482.80. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index declining 1.22 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index dipping 1.31 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 1.29 percent. French CAC 40 Index slipped 1.61 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.85 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.13 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.54 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 1.06 percent and India's BSE Sensex fell 0.09 percent. Broker Recommendation Analysts at JP Morgan upgraded AES Corp AES from Neutral to Overweight and raised the price target from $14.00 to $16.00.
