The worst performing industries in the market today are:

Long Distance Carriers: The industry dropped 1.7 percent by 1:00 pm. The worst performer in this industry was HC2 Holdings Inc (NYSE: HCHC), which declined 2 percent. HC2 Holdings' trailing-twelve-month ROE is -9.08 percent.

Synthetics: This industry tumbled 1.4 percent by 1:00 pm. The worst stock within the industry was Lightbridge Corp (NASDAQ: LTBR), which fell 4 percent. Lightbridge is expected to issue Q1 business update on May 7, 2015.

Internet Service Providers: This industry fell 1.3 percent by 1:00 pm ET. Spark Networks Inc (NYSE: LOV) shares dropped 17 percent in today's trading. Spark Networks reported Q1 net income of $0.03 per share on revenue of $13.5 million.

Oil & Gas Equipment & Services: This industry declined 1.2 percent by 1:00 pm with Ion Geophysical Corp (NYSE: IO) moving down 9.6 percent. Ion Geophysical reported downbeat Q1 results.
