TRI Pointe Homes Colorado, a division of TRI Pointe TPH, one of the top 10 home building companies by equity market capitalization in the United States, announced the acquisition of 115 lots in Aurora, Colorado. (Photo: Business Wire) “TRI Pointe was chosen to build within the master plan because of a long-standing relationship with the local Ryland Homes team, as well as the fact that Ryland appreciated our team's architectural and operational approach,” said Matthew Osborn, division president of TRI Pointe Homes Colorado. “Whispering Pines provides us the opportunity to showcase some of our largest and most attractive plans with buyers who value quality homes in a convenient and beautiful location.” The two-story and ranch-style homes feature seven floor plans, five from the “Encore Collection” and two plans from the “Premier Collection.” The luxurious living spaces range in size from 2,955 square feet to 4,299 square feet. The homes are three to five bedrooms and three and a half to five and a half baths. Additionally, the homes incorporate three- or four-car garages. Optional finished basements feature home theaters, large recreation rooms, and additional bedrooms. The expected buyer profile is a “move up” family buyer from the southeast Denver metro areas of Littleton, Aurora, Centennial, and Highlands Ranch. Pricing is anticipated to start in the mid $500,000s. The community plan incorporates abundant open space areas, which include significant stands of ponderosa pines (the northern extension of the Black Forest). Trails are easily accessible from each neighborhood, and breathtaking views of the Colorado Front Range abound. Many of TRI Pointe's home sites are located adjacent to the open space areas within the community and a number of them will have expansive views from Pikes Peak to the south, Mount Evans directly west, and Longs Peak to the north. In addition, the master-planned community will feature a clubhouse, pool and a future elementary school. Whispering Pines is located in the highly acclaimed Cherry Creek School District, in which 98 percent of the schools rank in the highest category of Accreditation by the Colorado Department of Education. The community is situated near several major employment centers off the southeast I-25 corridor including the Denver Tech Center, Meridian Business Park, and Inverness Business Park, in which many large corporate headquarters or satellite offices are located. With access to E-470 only minutes away, Downtown Denver is located approximately 25 miles northwest of Whispering Pines and Denver International Airport is within an easy 25-minute commute.
