The Dow dropped 0.22% to 17,242.07, while the NASDAQ composite index fell 0.92% to 4,537.47. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.55% to 1,999.44.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

Auto Parts Stores:

This industry tumbled 2.34% by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was AutoZone (NYSE: AZO), which fell 3.9%. The company's quarterly revenue missed analysts' estimates. However, the company reported upbeat quarterly earnings.

Computer Peripherals:

The industry dropped 2.24% by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was TransAct Technologies (NASDAQ: TACT), which declined 3%. 7 TransAct and Eurocoin will end European distribution agreement at the year end. TransAct also announced it expanded its casino and gaming distribution agreement with Suzo-Happ, to include all worldwide territories.


This industry declined 2.20% by 11:00 am, with Silvercorp Metals (NYSE: SVM) moving down 7.6%. Silver futures fell 0.75% to trade at $17.71 an ounce.

Music & Video Stores:

This industry fell 2.07% by 11:00 am ET. Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) shares dropped 2.3% in today's trading. Netflix's PEG ratio is 3.77.
