ChinaNet Online Holdings (NASDAQ: CNET) shares surged 39.59% to $2.74. ChinaNet Online reported that the company won the Best Company in Chinese Entrepreneurial SME Business Development Marketing at the 2014 Chinese e-Commerce Industry Gateway Conference.
Sigma-Aldrich (NASDAQ: SIAL) shares climbed 33.93% to $137.11 after Germany's Merck KGaA (OTC: MKGAY) announced its plans to acquire Sigma-Aldrich for $140 per share in cash.
Jinpan International (NASDAQ: JST) rose 13.67% to $7.90 after the company announced the receipt of going private proposal at $8.80 per share.
Epiq Systems (NASDAQ: EPIQ) gained 9.95% to $19.01 as Bloomberg reported P2 Capital Partners has raised stake in the company to 17% following the conclusion of talks without the deal. Epiq Systems has rejected a $1.1 billion bid from P2 Capital Partners.
TAT Technologies (NASDAQ: TATT) shares jumped 8.96% to $8.38 after the company reported that its subsidiary, Piedmont Aviation Component Services, has signed a seven year landing gear Maintenance Support Agreement with Republic Airways Holdings.
The Clorox Company (NYSE: CLX) shares gained 5.26% to $95.33 after rising 0.75% on Friday.
