General Mills, Inc. (NYSE: GIS) announced a deal after Tuesday's close to acquire organic and natural food maker Annies Inc (NASDAQ: BNNY) for $46 per share in cash.

The news has sent shares of Annies up 38 percent, trading at $46.34.

Shares of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAIN) are trading higher as well, up 2.9 percent at $100.60.

Amira Nature Foods Ltd (NYSE: ANFI) was trading up three percent higher, although shares have since pulled back.

Shares of WhiteWave Foods (NYSE: WWAV) are up 2.7 percent to $36.68, while shares of Boulder Brands (NASDAQ: BDBD) appear to be leading the group higher, currently up more than 8.5 percent to around $14.38.
