Usana Health Triggers A 'Sell The News' Event


Usana Health (NYSE: USNA) popped higher on positive developments relating to a probe that had ended.

According Usana Health's 10Q, “on May 28, 2014, the company received a letter from the SEC, which indicated that the SEC had concluded its investigation, and did not intent to recommend any enforcement action against the company.”

However following Usana Health's brief pop to $71.53, the stock price promptly fell to $66.67 – a typical sell the news event.

Herbalife(NYSE: HLF) and Nuskin (NYSE: NUS) initially moved higher in sympathy to the positive news on Usana Health's probe, before falling later in the Tuesday session.

Herbalife fell from $50.52 to $49.11, whereas Nuskin fell from $57.81 to $56.74.
