US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 45 points to 16,420.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 4.90 points to 1,869.80. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index declined 10.75 points to 3,572.00. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index dropping 1.11%, STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.56%. German DAX 30 index tumbled 0.42%, French CAC 40 Index fell 0.35% and London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.44%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropped 0.64%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.04%, China's Shanghai Composite Index declined 1.05% and India's BSE Sensex surged 1%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at RBC Capital upgraded Micron Technology MU from “sector perform” to “outperform.” The target price for Micron has been raised from $27 to $34.
