Albemarle Expands its ETHANOX One-Pack Antioxidant Manufacturing Capabilities in Shanghai

Albemarle Corporation ALB, a leading developer and manufacturer of antioxidants for the polymers, fuel and lube industries, announced today that it completed installation of a granulation and blending system in Shanghai. This addition supports the Company's global growth initiatives by adding additional capacity and product forms to the portfolio. This increases Albemarle's total one-pack capacity to over 10,000 metric tons/year, and adds the capability to make one-pack formulations of up to eight components. Albemarle's stand-alone one-pack shop in Shanghai, China now has the capability of producing non-dusting antioxidants in both granules and pellets. With the increased scale and back integration to neat antioxidant production, Albemarle can provide cost effective one-pack solutions on a global basis. The close proximity to the Shanghai seaport makes for effective worldwide product distribution. Albemarle has supplied one-pack solutions to the top polyolefin producers for over five years.
