Taiwan September Exports Drop 7%

Taiwan reported a drop in September exports. Exports dropped 7.0% in September, according to the Ministry of Finance. However, economists were expecting a 0.45% rise. In August, Taiwan's exports climbed 3.6% y/y. Exports to China declined 8.4% in September, versus August's rise of 2.9%. Taiwan's trade surplus came in at $2.35 billion in September, versus August figure of $4.59 billion. However, economists expected trade surplus of $4.32 billion.
