Sprint S today announced it will sell its products and services in 100
more stores owned by Costco Wholesale Corporation COST, expanding its
relationship with the leading retailer across the country.
Sprint began selling products in 106 Costco membership warehouses last fall.
Most products are Sprint's premium, higher-end handsets from its Samsung, HTC
and Motorola portfolios and the latest from its line of 4G LTE phones.
Costco operates a chain of membership warehouses that carry quality, brand
name merchandise at lower prices than conventional retail sources. The
addition of the retail chain's stores will help Sprint target and reach the
growing market of small-to-medium-sized businesses – as well as consumers --
that Costco has successfully sold to over the years.
