Alaska Air Group Reports 9.2% Increase in Traffic for April, 9.9% Increase in Capacity Year over Year

Alaska Air Group ALK today reported April and year-to-date operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, and on a combined basis. Detailed information is provided below. ALASKA AIRLINES - MAINLINE Alaska reported a 9.2 percent increase in traffic on a 9.9 percent increase in capacity compared to April 2012. This resulted in a 0.6-point decrease in load factor to 86.8 percent. Alaska also reported 86.8 percent of its flights arrived on time in April, compared to the 90.6 percent reported in April 2012. This resulted in a 2.5-point increase in load factor to an April record of 78.6 percent. Horizon also reported 89.3 percent of its flights arrived on time in April, compared to the 94.0 percent reported in April 2012.
