Dresser-Rand's Painted Post Signs New Competitive Labor Deal

and Local 313 of the International Union of Electricians – Communication Workers of America, AFL-CIO ("Local 313") today confirmed that the members of Local 313, representing approximately 345 workers at Dresser-Rand Company's Painted Post, New York facility, have ratified a new labor agreement.  The contract is effective March 1, 2013, through March 4, 2016.  Chris Rossi, Executive Vice President, Global Operations, said, "We are pleased with this new competitive labor agreement.  The solid and productive relationship between the parties facilitated a healthy "give and take" negotiation.  Today, the workforce and leadership are working together with a great attitude and are making significant progress in safety, productivity, quality, and delivery performance." "We are delighted to have reached this new agreement," commented Doug Rich, Dresser-Rand's General Manager, Painted Post Operations, "The negotiation teams on both sides exhibited a high level of professionalism throughout the negotiations.  I want to recognize, in particular, Terry Schoonover, President of Local 313, and Jack Scranton, Vice President of Local 313 for their leadership and determination in representing the interest of the membership."
