CalAmp Announces Deal with Cat for M2M Wireless Communications Solutions for Global Assets

CalAmp Corp. CAMP, a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, has entered into a development agreement with Caterpillar Inc. CAT to provide the world's leading heavy equipment manufacturer with ruggedized wireless routers that will enable vital data communications for equipment deployed around the globe. Under the agreement, CalAmp is providing a customized version of its powerful Vanguard mobile wireless broadband router for multi-carrier operation on both CDMA and GSM networks around the world, as well as a satellite communication version of Vanguard for connecting with Caterpillar equipment deployed in remote locations without cellular coverage.
