Japan posted wider-than-expected trade deficit in December.
Japan's exports dropped 5.8% y/y in December, while imports gained 1.9%. The country's trade deficit came in at 641.5 billion yen ($7.24 billion).
Economists were expecting a 4.7% drop in exports, with trade deficit of ¥548.5 billion.
