US Stock Futures Flat Ahead Of Economic Data, Earnings

US stock futures are mostly flat this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data and earnings from major companies. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1 point to 13,575.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1.80 points to 1,480.50. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 6.25 points to 2,739.50. US stocks closed mostly higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.39% to 13,649.70, the S&P 500 index rising 0.34% to 1,485.98 and the Nasdaq 100 index dropping 0.04% to 3,134.71. The Chicago Fed National Activity Index for December will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Data on existing home sales for December and the Richmond Fed manufacturing index for January will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Johnson & Johnson JNJ is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.17 per share on revenue of $17.67 billion. Google GOOG is expected to post its Q4 earnings at $10.54 per share on revenue of $12.27 billion. Delta Air Lines DAL is estimated to report its Q4 earnings at $0.28 per share on revenue of $8.58 billion. International Business Machines IBM is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $5.25 per share on revenue of $29.09 billion. DuPont DD is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.07 per share on revenue of $7.30 billion. Regions Financial RF is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.21 per share on revenue of $1.35 billion. Verizon Communications VZ is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.52 per share on revenue of $29.75 billion. CSX CSX is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.39 per share on revenue of $2.85 billion. Texas Instruments TXN is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.34 per share on revenue of $2.95 billion. Advanced Micro Devices AMD is projected to post a Q4 loss at $0.20 per share on revenue of $1.15 billion. German ZEW index rose 24.6 points to 31.5 in January. European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.44%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.19%, German DAX 30 Index dropped 0.90% and French CAC 40 Index fell 0.22%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.35%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.56% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index climbing 0.01%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.29% and India's Sensex declined 0.60%. The dollar index (DXY) declined 0.31% to trade at 79.78, down from 80.046 late on Monday.
