Top Narrow Based Indexes For December 10, 2012

By 10:30 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 20.66 points, or 0.16%, to 13,175.79, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 0.19 points, or 0.01%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 7.92 points, or 0.27%. Some of the narrow based indexes that are supporting the markets are Chinese Solar Stocks, which have gained 13%, Rare Earth Stocks, up 4.8%, and Solar Stocks, moving 4.1% higher as a group. In Tickerspy's Chinese Solar complex, JinkoSolar Holding Co JKS had surged 8.6%. JinkoSolar's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $779.21 million. The best performing Tickerspy Rare Earth stock has been Molycorp MCP, which was up 8.5%. Molycorp shares have dropped 70.17% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 14.69% in the same period. Real Goods Solar RSOL is today's leading Tickerspy's Solar stock, gaining 12.7%. Real Goods Solar had $3.83 million in total cash for the latest quarter.
