Chile Unemployment Rate Surges to 6.6%

Chile's unemployment rate climbed to 6.6% in the August to October period, versus a rate of 6.5% in the July to September period, according to the National Statistics Institute. Economists were expecting the unemployment rate to decline to 6.4%. Chile's jobless rate came in at 7.2% in the year-ago period.
