Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 28 points to 12,828.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 2.90 points to 1,391.20. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 9 points to 2,605.00.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were slightly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.05%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.17%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.10% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.03%.

Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 1.56%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.58% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.02%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index surged 0.79% India's Sensex fell 0.06%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Bank of America downgraded Gildan Activewear (NYSE: GIL) from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for Gildan Activewear has been raised from $33 to $35.

Gildan Activewear shares gained 1.45% to close at $34.25 on Wednesday.
