Fluor Gets Five-Year US Army Base Ops Support Contract

announced today that the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) selected Rock Island Integrated Services (RIIS), a joint venture of DEL-JEN, Inc., a Fluor company, and AECOM, to perform base operations support at the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois, as well as at six other locations in Illinois and Iowa. Rock Island is the nation's oldest government-owned weapons manufacturing arsenal. The RIIS companies have worked at Rock Island since 1997, earning the Occupational Excellence Achievement award for the past two years from the National Safety Council. The estimated value of the follow-on contract is approximately $109 million over five years. Fluor booked the first year's contract value into backlog in the third quarter 2012. Additional contract values will be booked in subsequent years.
