Top Narrow Based Indexes For October 2, 2012

By 11:10 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 39.97 points, or 0.30%, to 13,475.14, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had dropped 0.42 points, or 0.03%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 5.39 points, or 0.17%. Some of the narrow based indexes that are supporting the markets are Fuel Cell Stocks, which have gained 5.8%, Genetic Analysis Stocks, up 2.2%, and Single Country Emerging Market ETFs moving 2.2% higher as a group. In Tickerspy's Fuel Cell complex, Plug Power PLUG had surged 8.4%. Plug Power's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $32.75 million. The best performing Tickerspy Genetic Analysis stock has been Helicos BioSciences HLCS, which was up 11.1%. Helicos BioSciences shares have dropped 63.64% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 28.52% in the same period. In Tickerspy's Single Country Emerging Market ETFs complex, iShares MSCI Israel Cap Invest Mkt Index EIS had surged 2.7%.
