SAIC Awarded $48 Million Contract By Naval Air Systems Command

Science Applications International Corporation SAI today announced it was awarded a prime contract by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to provide program management and engineering support services in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's (NAWCAD) Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATC&LS) Division. The single-award cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) task order has a one-year base period, two one-year options, and a total value of approximately $48 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at contractor facilities as well as NAWCAD, Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, Md., and Jacksonville, Fla. The ATC&LS Division helps the fleet positively identify and track targets in combat and air traffic control environments through systems design, engineering, integration, installation, training, operational support, and in-service engineering for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and other U.S. Department of Defense ATC&LS systems. Under this contract, SAIC will provide technical and management support services to the ATC&LS Division to support its research, design, development, training, and logistic support tasking. SAIC will also provide technical support to the ATC&LS programs through technology assessment; system engineering; system performance analyses; system test and evaluation support; system level procurement package development; training; local area network support; and operational site maintenance.
