CPI Aero Awarded $1M Contract by Northrop Grumman for Airborne Laser Mine Detection System Program

CPI Aerostructures, Inc. CVU has been awarded a $1 million contract by Northrop Grumman Corporation NOC to manufacture pod structural housings for the Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS). In April 2012, the U.S. Navy issued a contract modification to Northrop Grumman to begin low rate initial production (LRIP) Lot 4. CPI Aero will manufacture a total of four pod structural housings under this new contract, with deliveries scheduled to commence in mid-2013.
