London Stock Exchange Q1 Revenue Rises 10%

The London Stock Exchange Group PLC LDNXF posted a 10% surge in its first-quarter revenue. Its quarterly total revenue gained to GBP179 million, from GBP162.4 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting revenue of GBP180.9 million. Its total income surged 10% to GBP209.5 million from GBP190.2 million. LSE's revenue from information-services jumped 68% to GBP75.3 million versus GBP44.7 million, while revenue from capital markets declined 15% to GBP67.5 million versus GBP79.7 million.
