Office 15 Coming to iPad or Other Apple Platforms?

Contrary to reports that suggest

, the converged view among industry insiders is that the new program will come to one of Apple's

most popular devices.

"Converged view is that Office 15 will, in addition to [the Microsoft] platforms, will also be available on Apple iPad," said Trip Chowdhry, the Managing Director of Equity Research at Global Equities Research, who sent out an e-mail update on Microsoft this afternoon. "Converged view is that Microsoft Cloud Storage named Skydrive will get more tightly integrated to Office15 suite and will also likely be available on [the] iPad."
