declined about 21.7% after the company reported that it intends to offer and sell shares of its common stock and warrants in an underwritten public offering. Shares of PetroChina Co Ltd

fell about 1.8% after the company reported a 5% drop in its net profit last year. PetroChina's net profit for the 12 months ended December 31 dropped to CNY132.96 billion (US$21.07 billion), versus CNY139.99 billion in 2010. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of CNY138.58 billion. PetroChina's revenue surged 37% to CNY2.004 trillion from CNY1.465 trillion.
