Shares of Mercury Computer Systems Inc MRCY gained about 1.6% after the company announced its plans to buy KOR Electronics Inc for $70 million. Mercury Computer Systems expects the deal to close before year's end. In October, Mercury reported a 28% decline in its fiscal first-quarter earnings. Shares of Eastman Kodak Co EK rose about 15.6% after the company announced its plans to sell its gelatin business to Rousselot. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Eastman Kodak also named Laura Quatela as its president, effective January 1, 2012. Shares of SunPower Corp SPWR gained about 11% after the company announced its plans to buy Tenesol SA, a solar panel manufacturer operating in France and South Africa, from Total SA TOT for $165 million in cash. Shares of AU Optronics AUO rose about 0.5% after the company named Paul Peng as its new president from January 1. Paul Peng replaces L.J. Chen who will become president of the company's solar operations.
