Would You Like a Job on Wall Street?

StreetID, a new startup specializing in financial career matchmaking, aims to provide one answer to that question: “Yes.” The site, StreetID.com, has made its official debut today, opening registration to both job applicants and hiring managers. “This is the first ever site of its kind and a direct solution to the countless hours that candidates spend applying for jobs – and hiring managers waste sorting through resumes,” the company said in a statement. “The process is simple: job seekers in the financial services sector can register on StreetID.com for free. Candidate profiles include work experience, specific job functions, educational background and certifications. Profiles can be kept confidential, ensuring candidates' anonymity from current and prospective employers. The StreetID system then uses this data to match the candidate's credentials with employer needs, thus creating the perfect match.” StreetID said that it was built for financial professionals, by financial professionals, including founder Jesse Marrus, who previously served as the Managing Director at a financial recruiting firm called The Street Advisor Group. “This site is invaluable for employers,” said Marrus. “With StreetID, they can immediately target suitable candidates for the positions they're looking to fill with just the click of a mouse.” One of StreetID's most unique features is that it maintains the user's anonymity until he or she chooses to openly communicate with a particular company. And it does so without any recruiters or middlemen. “StreetID's niche is the Financial Services Industry with a focus on qualified professional candidates with the related industry experience,” Jolynn Perrini (of WILLIAM O'NEIL+CO) said in a company statement. “It is an efficient way for recruiting quality candidates and a great place for networking with Financial Services professionals.” StreetID said that its “unique filtering system” ensures that “only candidate profiles that truly match the employer's requirements are generated in a search.” This structure provides hiring managers “with candidates they want to see without the hassle of job postings,” Street ID said. “StreetID is the next generation of recruiting,” Marrus added. “Whether you're an individual looking for the next step in your career or an employer seeking top-tier talent, StreetID's career matchmaking and networking services are extraordinary resources.” In an interesting twist, the company is diving into the realm of social networking as well with a community section. StreetID also offers a news blog that's dedicated to providing the latest details on people moves, the state of the job market, and more within the financial sector.
