Is The NZD Set To Move Higher?

With all the hoopla surrounding the falling euro and declining Australian dollar, investors have lost sight of the New Zealand dollar. Usually unrecognized due to its economic size compared to Australia, the New Zealand economy has been showing a lot of promise. And, it's going to translate into more gains for the country's currency. For one, manufacturing in the Pacific country has rebounded following the Christchurch earthquakes earlier on this year. The latest figures have the sector producing a gain of 2.1% on an annualized basis in the second quarter of 2011. This is being supported by manufacturing sector activity survey that has shown expansionary conditions for the sector throughout the whole year. Tonight's survey is anticipated to continue the streak of 8 consecutive months, rising above the 53.2 reading seen in July.
