More than four million daily deals sold in the U.S. during Q2 2011. And that's just the beginning. LivingSocial recently conducted a “Q2 Member Must-Haves Study” and found that, from April to June 2011, “members in Washington, D.C., California, New York, Texas and Florida were found to love LivingSocial the most, having purchased the most LivingSocial vouchers during the past three months.” Mexican restaurants, pizzerias, and frozen yogurt stands top the list of LivingSocial's most popular food vouchers. As far as entertainment is concerned, golf, boat cruises and movie theaters led the pack. Yoga, bootcamp and pole dancing proved to be the three most popular fitness vouchers, while massages, manicures/pedicures, and laser hair removal were among the most successful beauty deals. “The results from this quarter's U.S. trend study paint a really strong picture of how LivingSocial is connecting its members with the things they like to do in their free time,” said Mandy Cole, Senior Vice President of Sales at LivingSocial. “We're a burrito-eating, golf-playing, massage-loving bunch and LivingSocial is looking forward to introducing even more new activities that will excite and engage our members.” Take a look at LivingSocial's “foodie favorites” infographic for a more detailed look at the company's success:
