US stock futures are lower this morning, after Standard & Poor's downgraded the US debt rating. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 175 points to 11,227.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 18.90 points to 1,178.90. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 37.25 points to 2,149.75. US stocks closed mostly lower on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.54% to 11,444.61, the S&P 500 index declining 0.06% to 1,199.38 and the Nasdaq 100 index dipping 0.94% to 2,532.41. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 2.17% and India's Sensex dipped 0.85%. Gold futures for December delivery surged $53 to $1,704.80 an ounce. The dollar index dropped 0.36% to 74.26, versus 74.592 in North American trade late Friday.
