Mentor Graphics Comments On Ichan Offer

Chip-design maker Mentor Graphics (NASDAQ: MENT) has said that it did not think this was time to put the company up for sale after a takeover proposal by investor Carl Icahn, According to Reuters reports.

Mentor Graphics Chief Executive Walden Rhines said the share price had grown by 70 percent over the last year for a two-year aggregate growth of approximately 200 percent.

According to Reuters, Mentor Graphics said that it determined that the Icahn $17 per share proposal undervalues the company.
