Stocks opened Monday trading in Taiwan in positive territory, then moved back and forth between negative and positive territory for the rest of the day, before rallying late in the day to finish the day slightly higher than the previous trading session's close. The Taiwan Capitalization Weighted Stock Index, or the TSEC weighted index, opened the Monday trading session in Taiwan at 8,798.05, which was higher than the previous trading day's close of 8,782.72. The TSEC weighted index ended the Monday trading session up 35.16 points, or 0.40%, at 8,817.88. The TSEC weighted index traded between 8,762.50 and 8,817.88.
