Najarian Brothers See Unusual Options Activity In Hertz, Barrick Gold And Apple

On CNBC's Fast Money Halftime Report, Jon Najarian spoke about a big volume in the May 20 calls in Hertz Global Holdings, Inc HTZ. He believes the stock has some upside potential and he decided to buy the upside calls in the name. He is going to hold them for two to three weeks.

Pete Najarian noticed that traders were buying put options in Barrick Gold Corp (USA) ABX in the first half of the trading session on Tuesday. Around 10,000 contracts of the May 19 puts were bought for $0.60 and he believes that the purchase was a protection for a long stock position. The trade offers protection below $18.40 or 8.09 percent lower than the current stock price.

Pete Najarian also spoke about high call options volume in the weekly calls in Apple Inc.AAPL. He said that traders were buying the April weekly, 141 strike calls and the April weekly, 142 strike calls.
