Apple's Set For A 'Facelift,' Unveils New Store Design

iPhone maker Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has unveiled a new store design in San Francisco, featuring trees, an area for live music and a mega 6K screen, powered by 100 percent renewable energy, according to a report on CNBC.

With the makeover, Apple intends to give shoppers the experience of being at the company headquarters, and a chance to socialize and collaborate.

Apple Chief Design Officer Jony Ive commented, "It all starts with the storefront — taking transparency to a whole new level — where the building blends the inside and the outside, breaking down barriers and making it more egalitarian and accessible."

The move comes after Apple reported a fall in iPhone sales, which led to company reporting its first quarterly revenue decline in 13 years.

The bottom line: "Apple said it is time for a facelift."

At time of writing, Apple was up 0.77 percent at $94.93.
