Brian Stutland Sees A Bullish Signal For S&P 500

On CNBC's Options Action, Brian Stutland spoke about a correlation between the VIX and the S&P 500. He explained that in the last two years the VIX has traded 20 times above 20. Trades who bought the S&P 500 when that happened had a return of 8.8 percent over the next three months and 13.2 percent over the next six months. Stutland is waiting for the VIX to reach 22, but he is willing to start buying the S&P 500 sooner and average his entry price. He would place a stop loss at 1,985. Carter Worth commented that perfection doesn't exist and that this strategy won't work this time.
