Jim Cramer Shares His Thoughts On Caterpillar And Oasis Petroleum

CNBC Mad Money's Jim Cramer said on the show that Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) is a great American company, but he wouldn't buy it because it is levered to crude oil and mining and these sectors are in a secular decline. He would buy it when the dividend yield reaches 4 percent.

Cramer's charitable fund owns Royal Dutch Shell plc (ADR) (NYSE: RDS-A), which is the best energy stock in his opinion, but he is losing money on that position. Oasis Petroleum Inc. (NYSE: OAS) is not an oasis and it is not immune to the problems in the space so he wouldn't buy it.
