Coffee Futures Trading Lower

March New York Coffee is trading at 141.55, down 1.30 cents/lb. May New York Coffee is trading at 143.95, down 1.20 cents/lb. New York Coffee futures are trading lower early Monday morning. Market chatter about weather forecasts for global coffee growing regions is making the rounds. Coffee exports in Guatemala during December fell to 109,307 bags from 126,170 bags a year ago. Indonesia's 2017 coffee production for 2017 is estimated to be around 637,539 tonnes down from 639,305 tonnes in 2016. Indonesia's Agriculture minister said planted area was lower.
