GBP/USD Trading Lower, U.K. House Prices Edge Up

GBP/USD is trading at 1.2152, down 0.0111. The pair is trading at the session lows. Market talk about headline news and comments from U.K. policy makers is making the rounds. The U.K Halifax House Price Index rose 1.7 percent in December versus a 0.6 percent rise in November. Year over year U.K. house prices were up 6.5 percent in December versus up 6 percent in November. The U.K. Trade Unions Congress (TUC) said in a report last week that U.K. unsecured debt is now over 27 percent of the average income for a U.K. worker, highest level in about eight years.
