Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 116,000 head versus 115,000 head a week ago and 87,000 head a year ago. February live cattle is trading at 117.80, up 0.42 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 115.67, up 0.52 cents/lb. June Cattle is trading at 105.17, up 0.05 cents/lb.
