Corn Futures Little Lower

December Corn is trading at 356 1/2, down 1 cent/bushel. March Corn is trading at 365 1/4, down 1 cent/bushel. Corn futures are trading steady to lower. The USDA reported on Thursday that corn export sales for 2016 to 2017 as of October 20th are now 41.2 percent of the agency forecast versus the five year average of 41.7 percent. The International Grains Council ( IGC) raised their global corn production estimate by 0.8 percent to 1.035 billion tonnes on the bumper crop in the U.S. and higher production by Argentina and India. The Buenos Aires Grains Exchange has estimated Argentina's corn plantings at just under 36 percent done, corn planting area was kept at 4.9 million hectares.
