Corn Futures Trading Higher

December Corn is trading at 354 1/2, up 5 cents/bushel. March Corn is trading at 364 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents/bushel. Corn futures are trading higher after Thursday's firm tradng session. The Buenos Aires grain exchange estimates for Argentina's corn planted area was unchanged at 4.9 million hectares. Corn plantings in Argentina are now about 31.8 percent done. Corn used for ethanol production last week totaled 98.4 million bushels. The USDA weekly corn export sales report is due out at 8:30 a.m. ET. Some talk about producer selling at levels just above current prices is showing up.
