U.S. Dollar Index Higher, Unemployment Inches Up

The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.12, up 0.35. The U.S. Dollar Index is trading choppy. Market talk about U.S. economic data is making the rounds. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that nonfarm payroll employment rose by 156,000 in September versus 167,000 in August. The unemployment rate rose to 5 percent from 4.9 percent.
