U.S. Dollar Index Trading Higher, Composite PMI Firms

The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 95.42, up 0.21. The U.S. Dollar Index is trading choppy and a little under the session highs. Markit's U.S. composite purchasing managers survey (PMI) for September firmed to 52 versus 51.5 in August. The services PMI rose to 51.9 versus 51 in August. The Conference Board's reading of Consumer Confidence and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond manufacturing survey are due out at 10:00 a.m. ET.
