Lean Hog Futures Little Higher

October lean hogs are trading at 53.20, up 0.17 cents /lb. December lean hogs are trading at 48.90, up 0.30 cents/lb. February lean hogs are trading at 53.07, up 0.12 cents/lb. Lean hog futures are trading choppy and a little higher just after the open. Monday's USDA hog slaughter was 441,000 head, unchanged from a week ago and up from 428,000 head a year ago.
