U.S. Dollar Index Lower, New Home Sales Surge

The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 94.41, down 0.08. The U.S. Dollar Index is trading modestly choppy. Market chatter about U.S. economic data is making the rounds. The Census Bureau reported that July new home sales surged 12.4 percent to 654,000 from 582,000 in June. The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond manufacturing survey fell to minus 11 in August versus a positive reading of 10 in July.
