October live cattle is trading at 112.45, up 0.05 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 113.57, down 0.02 cents/lb. Nearby August live cattle is trading at 114.92, up 0.17 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading mixed just after the open Thursday. Market chatter about the upcoming U.S. Department of Agriculture's cattle-on-feed report is making the rounds. Trading is expected to be very choppy.
