U.S. Dollar Index Falls, Retail Sales Erode

The September U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 95.30, down 0.53. The U.S. Dollar Index is trading choppy and at session lows. Market talk about economic data and global headline news is making the rounds. The Census Bureau reported that year over year retail sales during July were up 2.3 percent versus a rise of 2.7 percent in June. On the month retail sales were flat versus a rise of 0.8 percent and ex-autos fell 0.3 percent in July versus from the 0.9 percent rise in June.
