March chatter about the weekend results of Australia's federal elections is making the rounds. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull declared victory in the federal election.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that home loans during May fell one percent versus a downwardly revised 1.4 percent gain in April. Investment lending for homes, a measure of fixed residential property loans, rose 3.9 percent in May versus a 5 percent fall in April.
