Corn Futures New Contract Lows

September Corn is trading at 340, down 10 3/4 cents/bushel. December Corn is trading at 347 1/4, down 10 3/4 cents/bushel. December Corn futures are trading at new contract lows. Trading is active and modestly choppy. Market chatter about weather and impacts on the U.S. corn crop is ongoing. Chatter that silking is ahead of last week and above levels a year ago levels is showing up. The weekly corn condition report showed 75 percent of the crop was rated good to excellent versus 75 percent a week ago and 69 percent a year ago. The ten year average at this time of year is 67 percent.
